Terms of Use — KindaStart

DRAFT v2 — not published, not reviewed by the founder or a lawyer. Updated 2026-08-26 from the 2026-08-17 draft (renamed Sidekick → KindaStart; wording aligned to the shipped product: plans and steps). Placeholders in ⟨angle brackets⟩ need real values before publication. Apple requires a Terms of Use (EULA) link for subscription apps; Apple's standard EULA can be used instead of a custom one — that is a founder decision, and this draft exists so there is a custom option to review.

What KindaStart is

KindaStart is a productivity app. It takes what you write and uses AI to organize it into a plan and suggest small steps. It is not medical care, therapy, diagnosis, or treatment of any condition, and it is not a substitute for any of those. If you are in crisis, contact local emergency services or a crisis line.

Your content

What you type belongs to you. You give us permission to process it — meaning: send it to our AI provider to generate your plan — and nothing more. We don't store it on servers, publish it, or use it to train models. See the Privacy Policy for the full picture.

Availability and changes

The app depends on third-party AI services and may be interrupted, changed, or discontinued. We aim for reliability but the service is provided "as is", without warranties, to the fullest extent the law allows.

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the app is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.
